Flapjaq.com & Flapjaq Websites – Editorial Policy Last Updated November 30, 2016 Welcome!
The following rules (the “Editorial Policy”) govern the content you may post or submit for posting on any of the city-specific websites at subdomains of Flapjaq.com (the “Flapjaq Websites,” each a “Flapjaq Website” or “Website;” with the main site Flapjaq.com being referred to as “Flapjaq.com”) offered by Domcor, LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Domcor”), and your conduct in connection with submitting or posting content to any or all of the Flapjaq Websites. Each of the Flapjaq Websites is an online community in which participants ask and answer questions on a wide range of topics of interest to travelers and visitors with respect to a specific city. Like any other community, we have a core set of principles that must be followed by all members. Your use of any Flapjaq Website is subject to this Editorial Policy, and our Terms of Use, Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, City Advisor Agreement (if you are a City Advisor, as defined therein), and Listing & Advertising Service Agreement, (for our Directory, if any). This Editorial Policy is incorporated in, and any breach of it constitutes a breach of, the Terms of Use, Code of Conduct, and Listing & Advertising Service Agreement. Capitalized terms used in this Editorial Policy have the meanings defined in the Terms of Use and/or Listing & Advertising Service Agreement, unless otherwise defined in this document. Our Terms of Use, Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, City Advisor Agreement, Listing & Advertising Agreement, and this Editorial Policy are sometimes collectively referred to as our “Legal Terms & Conditions.” Read them carefully. You are bound by all of them, if you access or use any Flapjaq Website. Domcor reserves the right, in its discretion, to revise this Editorial Policy and any of our Legal Terms & Conditions, at any time and from time to time, without notice. When this Editorial Policy is revised, the revised version will become effective and binding upon you when it is posted on Flapjaq.com. You are responsible for regularly reviewing and complying with the latest version of this Editorial Policy. The date of last revision will be stated at the top of this page, so please be sure to check back periodically. By using any of the Flapjaq Websites, you agree to and are legally bound by this Editorial Policy and all of our Legal Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to follow this Editorial Policy and all of our Legal Terms & Conditions, do not use any of the Flapjaq Websites or enter or submit any content for posting on any of the Flapjaq Websites. General Guidelines & Warnings:
Violating this Editorial Policy or any of our Legal Terms & Conditions may result in the termination of your account(s) on any or all of the Flapjaq Websites without warning, and any violating content will be removed from the Flapjaq Websites.
Age requirement:
You must be 18+ years of age to register and post content on any Flapjaq Website.

Domcor does not endorse and is not responsible for any of the questions, answers, content or ratings posted by users, City Advisors, or others on any Flapjaq Website.
Rules for User Registration:
In order to post questions or answers on a Flapjaq Website, you must register on such Website. When you register, you must provide certain information as indicated in the registration form, and you may have the option of including other information, subject to the user registration form and instructions that may be found in the user registration area on the Flapjaq Website. You may not include hyperlinks of any kind in the user information you provide in
2
registering on any Flapjaq Webwsite. The information you provide in registering is subject to our Privacy Policy, and as a registered user on any Flapjaq Website, you are bound by and required to comply with all of our Legal Terms & Conditions.
Users can create only ONE account on any Flapjaq Website, and you cannot change your username:
Each user is allowed to create only one account on any Flapjaq Website. You can edit your user information after you create your account, but you are not permitted to change your username for such account, so please choose it carefully.
Posting of questions and answers – content:
Each Flapjaq Website is about the specific city identified on such Website. All questions and answers must relate to such city and its surrounding area, or they will be removed from the Website. In posting questions and answers, you must comply with this Editorial Policy, including without limitation, all of the Do’s and Don’ts stated in this Editorial Policy, as well as with our other Legal Terms & Conditions.
No links permitted in questions; no excessive or advertising links in answers:
You may not include any links in your questions. You may include links in your answers only for the purpose of providing the best answer to the question; not for the purpose of advertising. You may include a link in your answer only if the link is directly related to and answers the question, is substantively helpful, and is clearly the best way to answer the question. Anyone found to be posting excessive links or suspected of using links for advertising purposes is in violation of this guideline. General and unnecessary links will be tagged as advertising. If you are found to be excessively posting links, you may lose the ability to post links or the ability to post content of any kind on any or all of the Flapjaq Websites. Questions and answers should short: To keep each Flapjaq Website easy to navigate and read we ask that you please keep question length to approximately 250 characters or less, question descriptions to approximately 1,000 characters or less and answers to approximately 3,000 characters or less, or in each case, to such other length limitations as may be stated or implemented on any Flapjaq Website. We understand that exceptions may sometimes be necessary and we’ll review user submissions that are longer than the above on a case by case basis. All questions and answers are subject to moderation before being published on any Flapjaq Website, however, passage of moderation and publication of any question or answer does not indicate or imply Domcor approval of such question or answer. All content on any Flapjaq Website is subject to editing or removal, in whole or in part, by Domcor in its discretion, at any time, without notice.
You cannot “edit” or “delete” questions or answers after you click the “submit button:”
You can review any question or answer that you are submitting to a Flapjaq Website before you submit it to be published. Once submitted, you cannot edit or delete the question or the answer, but you can further clarify your question or answer in the “answer” section. Please reread your questions and answers carefully before you click on the “submit” button.
Rating of “Best Answers” (if available):
Visitors to some or all of the Flapjaq Websites may at some point be permitted to vote on answers (thumbs up or down). If this feature is available, each visitor may not cast more than one vote for any particular answer. If voting is provided, it will be a violation of this Editorial Policy and our Legal Terms & Conditions to attempt in any way to cast more than one vote per user for any particular answer, to attempt artificially to increase or decrease the vote count, or to abuse the voting in any way. In the event voting or “best answer” features are provided, Domcor will not control, and will have no obligation to exercise any control over, the voting or selection of “best answers.” Domcor does not approve or endorse any answers or other content on any Flapjaq Website, or any designation of any answer as “best answer” by user vote count or by the questioner. If voting or “best answer” features are made available on any Flapjaq Website, users of that Website must understand that the answer receiving the most votes or designated “best answer” by the person asking the question may not actually be the “best answer,” and should not be relied upon as such. Any member vote count for answers, if available, may have some meaning, but it should not be taken too seriously.
We do not delete accounts, posts or Website content upon request, unless we choose to:
We do not delete accounts, questions, answers, or other content posted on any Flapjaq Website upon request. All content you post is licensed and granted to us with perpetual electronic publishing rights. Any content posted on any Flapjaq Website becomes a part of the question and answer community, even if you no longer choose to participate. You may request an item be removed at any time, but we will decide when and if to remove content from our community on any Flapjaq Website. If you wish no longer to participate in any Flapjaq Website, simply
3
cease to post content. However, your posted content and username will remain on the Website, unless Domcor, in its discretion, determines otherwise.
Republishing rights:
Under the license you grant to Domcor in our Terms of Use, we have the right to republish your words, link to your posts and use all published material however we like without identifying or crediting you.
Domcor and its site moderators and administrators have final say on everything:
Domcor and its moderators and administrators for each Flapjaq Website have the final say on everything. Domcor, its agents and affiliates reserve the right to place or move content as we choose, to organize discussion forums, and to organize, remove, delete, or modify posts and all user content, as Domcor chooses, in its discretion. If you have a problem, you may contact us regarding any complaint. Do not publicly address any issues you may have with any Flapjaq Website, or with Domcor or its staff on any Flapjaq Website. Creating questions or answers that question or reference administrative decisions or potential administrative decisions, such as post removals or account closures, is not permitted. If you feel that we have made a mistake or if you would like a copy of your removed question or answer so that you can adjust it and repost, please contact us and we will review the situation, and make a determination, in our discretion, how to proceed.
Freedom of speech:
Freedom of speech rights do not extend to privately owned websites, such as this one. This Editorial Policy and our Legal Terms & Conditions, as well as instructions on the Flapjaq Websites, detail the types of behavior and activities that are allowed and not allowed on Flapjaq Websites.
If you violate or show disregard for this Editorial Policy or any of our Legal Terms & Conditions or instructions on any Flapjaq Website, you may lose your account(s) on Flapjaq Websites:
If a user violates any of our Legal Terms & Conditions or instructions stated on any Flapjaq Website, or shows a disregard for them, our staff, or our community, the user runs the risk of losing his or her account(s) on any or all of the Flapjaq Websites. We reserve the right to deactivate any account and to edit or remove any content at any time, in our discretion, and without notice or warning. Here are some additional “Do’s” and “Don’ts” that govern your behavior and the content that you may post when using any Flapjaq Website: Do: Share what you know: Someone may benefit from your knowledge, opinions, or personal experiences. Sharing what you know is a way you can make a positive contribution to the Flapjaq Websites communities. If you have specialized interests, experience, or training, sharing your knowledge may benefit others in our community. While sharing what you know is a “DO,” it is also important to make sure you don’t share anything that puts your question or answer in violation of this Editorial Policy, our Code of Conduct, Terms of Use, City Advisor Agreement (if you are a City Advisor), or any instructions on any Flapjaq Website. Read them Carefully.
Be accurate; Cite your sources: Make your answers truthful, accurate, correct, and helpful to others. We encourage members to use online resources in answering questions. Just be sure to cite your sources and give credit where it is due. You may include a link to your best source, but only if it is truly helpful in answering the question, is not posted for advertising or promotional purposes, and does not link to content that is inappropriate or in violation of this Editorial Policy, our Code of Conduct, Terms of Use, or our other Legal Terms & Conditions or instructions on any Flapjaq Website.
Be courteous:
We are a diverse community of people with diverse opinions. Everyone wants to be treated with respect, and showing respect to others makes the community better for all members.
Keep personal information private:
Do not post personal, real-life information such as home addresses and home phone numbers.
4
Flapjaq Websites are English speaking Websites; Post in English only:
As each of the Flapjaq Websites is an English-speaking Website, we require that you post all content in the English language, so that it can be understood by our communities, well received and properly monitored.
Use full sentences and normal capitalization:
In an effort to keep the forum operating professionally, and for ease of reading, please do not type in CAPS, and always use full sentences. Shorthand might be great for texting but it is not appropriate on the Flapjaq Websites.
Use proper grammar:
Please use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation only. No excessive or repeated punctuation or slang. Correct spelling and grammar help people find your questions, and you’ll get better answers to your questions and better ratings for your answers when others can clearly make out what you’re saying.
Keep question title short but descriptive:
To help people find your question better, be as descriptive as possible in the title but keep it short. You will have space to explain your question in the “description” area of the question. Your question title and question description must not contain spam, links to commercial sites, keyword stuffing, malicious code, or other content in violation of this Editorial Policy, our Code of Conduct, or any of our other Legal Terms & Conditions.
Ask clearly and keep to the subject of the Flapjaq Website on which you are posting:
Keep your questions short and succinct, but be descriptive enough to help people understand what you’re asking. Each Flapjaq Website is about a specific city identified on that Website. Ask and answer only questions that relate to that city.
Choose at least ONE category for your question:
It makes it easier for people to find your question if you select the appropriate category. Select at least one category or it will be placed in the “miscellaneous” category. You can select more than one category for your question if it is appropriate for the question and content. Abusing this could result in the question not being published, being deleted, or your account being deleted.
Place your question in the correct category:
Categorize your question correctly. Placing your question in the right category will help ensure that it will be seen by people who can give you better information and more accurate answers.
Answer the question to which you are responding and only that question:
Be sure that you correctly post your answer only under the question you are answering, and answer only that question in your answer. Do not include extraneous material or information unrelated to the question in your answers. Improper answers will be disallowed or removed.
If “best answer” features are available on the Website, please select “best answer” carefully and honestly: When you post a question, if you are provided the ability to select a “best answer” for your question and you choose to do so, please do so responsibly. If “best answer” features are available, it is prohibited to choose a “best answer” to promote a person, place or business for commercial gain.
Report possible violations or abuse to us; Not on the Flapjaq Website:
We do not review and/or confirm the true source, accuracy or validity of a question or answer before it is posted. If you believe that someone has violated our Editorial Guidelines or other Legal Terms & Conditions, or you have spotted abuse on a Flapjaq Website, or content that may otherwise require attention, please contact us with a link to the content and a brief description of what you believe is wrong. Notification is voluntary and anonymous. Do not respond to the violation on the Flapjaq Website through the posting of a question or answer – contact us instead. Responding to a violation on a Flapjaq Website through the posting of a question or answer is a violation in itself and will result in appropriate action.
Be polite, civil and respectful:
Respect is the name of the game. You must respect your fellow members. Please refrain from inflammatory and defamatory comments as well as flaming, taunting, and general disrespect. Do not simply disparage the opinion or advice given by others. If you don’t agree with it, say why – respectfully. Don’t just tell them they’re wrong. Do not make uninvited remarks about typos, duplicate posts, posting styles, etc.
When an opinion-based question is being asked, do not make inflammatory statements, or state things like “there is no argument” as if your opinion is the only one or the only one that matters. When someone has clearly stated their
5
opinion, do not say things like “Are you serious?” and “Are you kidding me?” Remember, this is not a debate club or political contest. This is a friendly question and answer community. Allow people to have their opinion. Be respectful, courteous and civil in all your questions and answers.
Keep it positive:
We do not allow questions to be posted to discuss who or what is the most overrated, who or what is your least favorite, etc.
Have fun:
Whenever you are participating in a Flapjaq Website, please keep in mind that we strive to create a fun, friendly and informative atmosphere. So, please have fun and enjoy the questions and answers! Don’t Do:
Don’t post your question or answer in wrong categories:
Posting questions in multiple categories just for exposure is not allowed and will result in the removal of one or more questions. When posting your question, please try to post it in the most appropriate categories. Don’t post duplicate or canned answers under multiple questions. Improper answers will be disallowed or removed.
Don’t post the same question more than once:
If we find this type of violation, one or all of the questions may be removed from the Website and may result in termination of your user account.
Don’t re-post deleted content:
Don’t re-post any content that has been removed or deleted by Domcor.
Don’t post answers (or questions) without meaning or content:
Posting questions or answers that have no meaning, or including content in your answer that is not relevant to the question is prohibited. Such questions or answers will be disallowed or deleted. The post and user are subject to removal from the Website.
Don’t post the same answer more than once:
Do not post duplicate answers to many different questions, or otherwise canned answers merely to promote yourself or your business.
Don’t use questions or answers to post advertisements; advertisements are not allowed in Q & A:
Generally speaking, questions or answers posted specifically for the promotion of a website, business, product or service, or posts that unnecessarily send people to a website that you are in some way affiliated with, are considered advertising, and are not allowed. It does not matter if it is a commercial website, a personal website, a non profit website, etc. We do authorize and/or sell advertisements on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in utilizing this option, please contact us.
If voting or “best answer” features are available on the Website, Don’t artificially increase or decrease a vote count for “best answer:”
If such features are available, do not attempt in any way to cast more than one vote for any particular answer, to attempt artificially to increase or decrease the vote count, or abuse the voting in any way. Attempts to artificially increase or decrease a vote count are prohibited. While member vote count for answers may have meaning (if available), it should not be taken too seriously.
Don’t include links in any question:
Links are Not allowed in questions – period. Any question with a URL link in it will be disallowed or removed.
Don’t include links in any answer unless they are truly the best way to explain/ answer the question; No advertising or spamming:
You may include a link in your answer only if it directly and truly answers the question, and provides genuinely relevant and helpful information in answer to the question. You may not include links in your answers for the purpose of advertising or promoting your own or another website, product, or service. Any links which serve your own self-interest or the self-interest of your affiliates or others are suspect, and may be subject to being disallowed
6
or removed. Anyone found to be posting excessive links to their own or to affiliated or other websites or suspected of using links for advertising or revenue-generating purposes is considered a spammer, and is in violation of this guideline. General and unnecessary links will be tagged as advertising. If you are found to be excessively or inappropriately posting links, you may lose the ability to post links or the ability to post content of any kind to some or all of the Flapjaq Websites.
Don’t discuss illegal behavior or post content you have obtained illegally; it will be removed:
Questions and answers that discuss illegal activities, transactions, or websites will be removed. This prohibition includes the posting of information that you have obtained illegally. If you spot any such content posted by others, notify Domcor immediately by e-mail to Support@Flapjaq.com.
Don’t post obscenity, pornography, sexually explicit content, hate propaganda, incitement of violence or illegal conduct, malicious code, or other content that violates of our Code of Conduct or Terms of Use:
Read carefully this Editorial Policy and our Terms of Use, Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, and City Advisor Agreement (if you are a City Advisor) and other Legal Terms & Conditions, and be sure that your conduct and all content you post strictly complies with all of their requirements and does not violate any of their terms. Violations will not be tolerated, and will result in the termination of your account. Please report any abuses you observe on any Flapjaq Website to us by e-mail to: Support@Flapjaq.com.
Don’t use obscene or mean language:
Sexually explicit and vulgar language and images are not permitted on any Flapjaq Website. Also not permitted are belligerence, insults, slurs and generally objectionable speech. If you wouldn’t say it in public, don’t post it on any Flapjaq Website.
Don’t rant, vent, or use hate speech:
The Flapjaq Websites are not a soapbox to vent personal frustrations or rant about issues. We are a community of people with diverse beliefs, opinions, and backgrounds, so please be respectful and keep hateful and incendiary comments off our Websites.
Don’t discuss political or religious issues on any Flapjaq Website:
The purpose of the Flapjaq Websites is to provide and exchange travel information of interest to travelers and visitors to towns, cities and local places of interest, local events, local dining places, local lodging facilities, local bars and nightclubs, local businesses, local shopping places, local demographics, local geography, local weather, local travel, local history, and other pertinent travel-related or local information. Political and religious questions or answers are not allowed on the Flapjaq Websites, and no religious, political, or otherwise controversial sentiments may be included in your questions or answers. If it is believed that the end result of a question will be political or religious, the question may be removed. Likewise, political and religious sentiments should be kept out of user information and other content.
Don’t use vulgar language and inappropriate material; it will not be tolerated:
Vulgar language and inappropriate material is not allowed and will be removed. Abbreviations, self censoring, and attempts to circumvent the word censoring feature also violate this guideline. If your post contains a word that is censored by our software or that we deem inappropriate, your post will not be allowed or will be removed. In limited cases, if we believe your content is otherwise good but contains inappropriate language, we may, but we will have no obligation to, (i) notify you by e-mail requesting a re-write of your content in an appropriate form or (ii) edit, modify, or delete portions of your content, in our discretion. We appreciate good content, and we try to maintain a family friendly atmosphere within the main subject matter of each of the Flapjaq Websites. Please keep this in mind when participating.
Don’t link to inappropriate content from your answers:
When linking or referring to outside websites from your answers, you must ensure that the content linked to or referred to is appropriate for our community on that Flapjaq Website, and that it complies with, and would not violate, our Legal Terms & Conditions if posted on that Flapjaq Website. This limitation includes mentioning or referencing a site, even if the mention is not hyperlinked. If you post a link and that link is automatically censored, it is considered to be an inappropriate link. If an inappropriate link or excessive links are submitted in your answers, your membership may be canceled and all content may be deleted.
Don’t post copyrighted material; this is illegal:
Do not post copyrighted materials (articles, videos, audio, etc.) that you do not have permission to reproduce or distribute. For text articles, most of the time you may quote a few words of the article (usually no more than a short paragraph) and give proper attribution to the source. You can state and link to the source (if online) or state the
7
source (if offline). Posting the entire article or a significant portion of it, even with identification of the source, constitutes copyright infringement. Likewise, this is not the place to illegally trade or distribute copyrighted video or audio clips (or those with questionable copyright status).
Don’t hotlink:
When posting and linking to images, videos, files, etc. from you answer, please refrain from hotlinking. This is the direct linking to images (.jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, etc.), video (.avi, .mov, .mpg, .mpeg, .wmv, etc.), audio (.mp3, .wav, etc.), archives (.zip, .rar, etc.) or otherwise downloadable or streamable files, on servers that you do not have permission to link to, instead of linking to the page where the item can be found. This includes providing a direct link to the file, even if that file is not embedded into your answer. This practice costs the publisher or server owner money and resources.
Don’t engage in scraping or automated posting or participation:
Automated account creation, participation, or content scraping is not permitted. Content scraping, or attempting through the use of automated software to steal original content from a another website without the owner’s permission, is illegal, and not permitted.
Don’t use any Flapjaq Website as a chat room or otherwise violate the question-and-answer format:
Each Flapjaq Website is a community of questions and answers, not a chat room. If a user post is neither a question nor an answer, it doesn’t belong here.
Don’t exploit the community:
Each Flapjaq Website is a place to gain knowledge, not customers, page views, or dates. Advertising, directly or indirectly, is prohibited in questions, answers or other content. Also prohibited are solicitations like “Will you add me as a contact?” or propositioning people.
Don’t cheat, create multiple accounts, or post content just to gain points:
Our answer rating system (if available) is meant to reward the community members for sharing questions and answers. Creating multiple accounts or posting content for the sole purpose of gaining points or soliciting others for points is not permitted. Posting filler answers to a question in an effort to be first to answer, or copying and pasting other members’ answers, also are forms of cheating, and are disallowed.
Don’t violate the law:
Don’t post anything that violates any local, state, federal or international laws, in any applicable jurisdiction. Don’t try to trick people into sharing their personal information, invade others’ privacy, steal anything (including copyright or trademark material), violate data privacy or security, or threaten, harass, impersonate, or hurt others.
Don’t behave maliciously or post malicious content
Don’t post links in your answers or anywhere else to sites that contain viruses or malicious programs or that interfere with the operation of Flapjaq.com or any of the Flapjaq Websites.
Don’t Misuse Answers or Ratings
Don’t create multiple accounts to troll or otherwise violate any of the Legal Terms & Conditions of the Flapjaq Websites. Our communities depend on you to report abuse and, if rating or voting features are available, to rate questions and answers fairly and on their merit. Using features such as report abuse or ratings to target others is not allowed.
Don’t do any harm and don’t lie or state false information
Be responsible and don’t misrepresent yourself, claim false credentials or expertise or give advice in a way that might cause someone harm. Don’t incite or advocate violence or harmful practices.
